FOODING projectFooding project aims to strengthen the competitiveness and innovation of SMEs by improving the quality and quantity of local products and promoting their sustainable exploitation in the Mediterranean diets. The project promotes an integrated approach to nutrition, health, innovation and uniqueness of the food production of the regions involved, to safeguard local agricultural diversity, which are being lost because of the imposition of excessively semplifcate diets and new lifestyles.
- Identification of agricultural biodiversity and of traditional foods within Mediterranean sustainable diets.
- Identification and transfer of innovations in the sector of local products;
- Promotion of typical products and strengthening the link between SMEs that produce local products.
- Definition of policies and strategies for maximizing the territorial brands of Greek and Italian typical products within the European planning 2014-2020.
